LL QUARTET CONSTELLATION offers a unique program for collaboration with chamber choirs. The concert program "To My Nordic Friends" is about an hour and a half long and is based on music from the Nordic couintries Finland, Norway, Denmark, the Faroe Islands, Iceland and Sweden.
Folk songs, hymns and jazz songs in a Nordic tone. A chamber musical adventure where sounds and moods from our part of the world are presented in a jazz medium, where improvisations are mixed with beautiful swinging arrangements from some of the Nordic region's foremost organizers.
Jukka Linkola, Mikael Råberg, Ole Kock Hansen, Jan Magne Førde, Music in Gävleborg was the producer of this fine project at the premiere in Gävle Concert Hall in 1999.
